Guangzhao has one of the world most modern and advanced tissue culture facilities, which includes a 4,000-square metre laboratory, 6,000-square metre greenhouse and 800 hectares of nursery fields.
Guangzhao's R&D centre, covering 2,000 square meters, consists of seven different laboratories such as plant breeding research, tissue culture technology development, mass production process development. We also have six trial fields throughout China.
Guangzhao has advanced plant biotechnology, mass production techniques and management system. We utilise plant embryo mutant induction techniques to breed new varieties, employ plant virus elimination techniques to improve plantlets quality, and engage in commercial production of plantlets through tissue culture technology.
Cutting-edge technologies
Guangzhao utilises a variety of scientific techniques to develop fast-growing forestry products.
Our aim is to develop products that grow twice as fast as other ordinary species.
Guangzhao uses the world's most advanced and cutting-edge technologies such as physics mutation, zero-gravity cultivation and polyploidy in our R&D.
We have been granted exclusive rights by China National Space Administration to supply 300 grams of plantlets for each rocket launch into space.
For example one of our products - Guangzhao Fast-growing Poplars - grows at double the rate of other species and reaches maturity and a height of 15 to 16 metres in 4 to 5 years, while other species take 8 to 12 years.
