Orchid Plantlets
Guangzhao has developed the techniques for the commercial production of orchids such
as Phalaenopsis, Dendrobium, Oncidium, Cymbidium, and hundreds of other high-quality
tropical orchids, including rare species.
In 2006, Guangzhao has secured a long-term supply contract and will commercially
produce Orchid plantlets in Shanghai. The plantlets are subsequently exported to
Taiwan, Japan and Europe.
Propagation of orchid plantlets will generate a steady stream of revenue for Guangzhao
and diversify our revenue sources.
Guangzhao can propagate more than 6 million orchid plantlets annually
Mass propagation of orchid plantlets
Plantlets are transferred to larger pots which hold a mixture of
sphagnum moss and some potting mix
Tissue cultured plantlets are transferred to the greenhouse
Orchids are transferred to thumb pots and kept in the nursery
before they are exported
